PLA+
- Easy to print, great for prototypes and decorative parts
- Eco-friendly and available in many colors
PLA+ (PLA Plus) is an enhanced, modified version of standard PLA filament, designed for increased toughness, higher impact resistance, and improved layer bonding, while maintaining easy, beginner-friendly 3D printing characteristics. It is less brittle than regular PLA, making it ideal for functional parts, props, and robust prototypes, often featuring a matte finish.
PETG
- Easy to print, great for prototypes and decorative parts
- Eco-friendly and available in many colors
PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is a popular, durable, and versatile thermoplastic polyester used extensively in 3D printing and manufacturing. It bridges the gap between PLA (ease of use) and ABS (durability), offering high impact resistance, chemical resistance, and excellent layer adhesion. It is known for being easy to print with minimal odor or warping.
ABS
- Stronger and more flexible than PLA
- Ideal for functional parts and outdoor use
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a durable, heat-resistant, and rigid thermoplastic 3D printer filament. It is known for its high impact resistance and toughness, making it popular for functional, high-stress parts like LEGO bricks, automotive components, and electronics housings. ABS requires high printing temperatures, a heated bed, and an enclosed printer due to its tendency to warp and its strong odor, but it can be vapor-smoothed with acetone.
